Latrobe Valley residents are invited to attend a crime and community safety forum next month to hear from Shadow Minister for Police, David Southwick.
Hosted by The Nationals’ Member for Morwell, Martin Cameron, the forum will provide a platform for community members to share concerns and learn about plans to combat crime.
“Latrobe Valley residents are rightly fed up with feeling unsafe on our streets and in their own homes, and recent reforms to bail laws have done little to address the issue,” Mr Cameron said.
“The crime crisis is hitting every corner of the state, but here in the Valley we have the highest rate of criminal incidents outside metropolitan Melbourne.
“I encourage anyone interested to come along to the forum on November 6 – whether you’re interested in hearing about plans to combat crime or have concerns to share.”
This free event is open to all members of the community and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and contribute to the conversation.
The crime and community safety forum featuring Shadow Minister for Police, David Southwick, will be held on Thursday 6 November from 6.30pm-7.30pm at the Morwell RSL on Elgin Street.
Registration is essential.
